Poynton Pine Kitchens Photography

23rd May 2015
This past week saw me wearing my commercial photographer's hat at Poynton Pine, photographing the kitchens in their showroom. Their kitchens are solid, hand-made, hand-painted and of a very high quality, and my brief was to get this across for use on their website and any printed literature they may produce.

The prep for the shoot began the day before with a reccie of the location and then on to purchase some specific props. The day itself started with me styling the kitchens ready for the shoot. Then on to test shots to work out lighting before producing the final shots.

The challenge when shooting on location as opposed to in the studio is always available space and lighting. I overcame this by working round what was there (including moving a few heavy pieces!), adding in a few of my mobile studio lights and some careful processing afterwards to correct the verticals where required.

It was always going to be a non-stop day, photographing two kitchens, plus additional furniture and detail shots, but it was completed in less than a day, including re-dressing the showroom afterwards!

Here are a few shots from the day.
