Wedding of Suky and Joe 27th July 2015

29th July 2015
This Monday gone saw me photographing the wedding of the wonderful Suky and Joe at The Hockley Centre in Poynton, followed by their reception at Peruga, located between Marple and Glossop. First things first, a huge big thank you to Suky, Joe and their families for choosing and allowing me to photograph their special day. We were blessed with a dry day (going against weather forecast predictions!) and a whole lot of fun, love and happiness to create a day I don't think they'll ever forget.

Suky and Joe on our previous meetings have come across as very chilled and relaxed - so it came as a bit of a surprise when I first saw Joe on Monday - he looked so nervous! But those nerves were soon dispelled and it shows in the photographs - they both look happy, relaxed and totally in love.

A big thank you also goes out to all at The Hockley Centre for their hospitality, warmth and help - I can't wait to get the opportunity to photograph here again.

The day started with me not being the first one there - very unusual, but that was soon explained in the hospitality of the Hockley Centre - trust me, if you get an invite to a wedding there, go early! After a few candid snaps of the early guests it was down to business with Joe and his Groomsmen, then round the corner to photograph Suky and her bridesmaids being walked to the church by her father.

After the service a few more informal shots of the guests together with the main group shot of all guests. Then it was on to Peruga for a few more candid shots of the guests before stealing Suky and Joe away for a few private portraits (one of which I've posted below). Although the rain of the night before (and that morning) meant we couldn't use the splendid lawns, the outdoor area provided magnificent backdrops to many of the photographs. After that, on with the family group shots before everyone went in for the wedding breakfast and my day with them came to an end. It was over far too soon and I wish them all the very best for the future.
